The SEOul Audit Success Story of Monarch Counseling

Please note: while I did the work on the SEO and gathered the numbers, I utilized AI to write this case study.

Project Overview

Amy Pennington, LCSW, runs Monarch Counseling, a private therapy practice in Franklin, Indiana. She had a Squarespace site she was proud of. What she did not have was anyone reliably finding it through Google.

That turned around the month the work went live, and it has not stopped climbing since. The first six months of 2026 brought 78 search visits total, with the trend pointing down and June bottoming out at 6. July brought 30. August brought 33. September passed both of them with days still left in the month. Three months after the audit have outpaced the entire six months before it.

This was an SEO only engagement. No redesign, no rebrand, no rewritten copy. I audited what was there, fixed what was quietly working against her, and rebuilt how the site was structured so both Google and a real person could follow it.

The Result

Monarch Counseling brought in more search traffic in the three months after the audit than in the six months before it. The first half of the year totaled 78 search visits and was trending down, falling to 8 in May and 6 in June. July came in at 30, August at 33, and September cleared both with the month not yet finished. What matters most is the shape of that line. It is not a spike that settles back. Each month has been higher than the last. Google Search Console over the same stretch logged 68 clicks and 2.23K impressions at an average position of 4.4. Amy did not change her services, her rates, or a word of her own writing to get here. Her site just needed to be legible to search.

Where They Started

The site was live and looked the part, but search traffic was unpredictable and falling. Headings were structured in a way that gave Google no clear signal about any given page, and pages were missing the meta descriptions that decide whether someone clicks. Content that belonged together was scattered across sections, so neither a search engine nor a visitor got a clean read on the practice.

What I Built

Discovery & Direction

I ran a full SEOul Audit across the site before touching anything, page by page. The pattern that surfaced was not a content problem. Amy's writing was solid and it was hers. The problem was structural. Nothing on the site was telling Google what any individual page was for.

Strategy

I made the call to keep this SEO only. No redesign, no new brand, no new copy voice. Rewriting the site would have muddied the results and cost Amy money she did not need to spend. Fix the signals, restructure the flow, leave her voice alone, then let the analytics show what the work did on its own.

Design & Development

Every page got a rewritten title tag and H1 built around what people actually search for when they are looking for a therapist. I wrote meta descriptions for every page, since a missing one hands Google the job of guessing. I repaired the heading hierarchy sitewide so each page had one clear subject and a logical order beneath it. From there I broke apart the page sections and recombined related content so the site read as one cohesive practice rather than a set of separate pages. I also applied a five color accessible palette across the site, so the contrast holds up for every visitor.

Refinement & Launch

Changes went live in July 2026. I worked through the site with Amy rather than around her, confirming each change before making it, so she understood what was happening to her own pages and why. The lift showed up that same month rather than after the usual lag, and it has grown every month since.

This is the SEOulPrint Method at work: no rebrand, no rewrite, just the structural fixes that let Google finally read a site the way a person does. If your practice is doing good work that nobody can find, that is exactly what the SEOul Audit is for.
